These are the only bulbs that Philips Offers, if anyone lists a different bulb that is not on this list, they are fake.

The Question We get quite often is how do you tell if a Philips HID kit is Real or not.  there are a few different things to check for:

  1. Philips bulbs will be marked Philips Germany with the item # right below
  2. Philips bulbs will only have White Salts, fake bulbs will not have any salts inside the bulb
  3. Philips bulbs will be labeled with a security label that can be tracked on www.philips.com
  4. Philips HID Kits only use KET wiring connectors not amp
  5. Philips ballasts will only have KET connectors
  6. Philips only makes 35W HID Kits, they do not make 50 or 55W HID Kits

A few things you can look for if a Company is trying to pass a fake kit off as real one:

  1. Packaging looks the same but contents inside IE bulbs and ballasts are marked Philips Patent, Philips Patent bulbs are not made by philips and are not made in Germany.
  2. Kit comes in two boxes like the original but the boxes are grey instead of white with the philips logo
  3. Ballasts come in a odd shape or are slim ballasts.
  4. Wiring coming from the ballast is AMP style and not the Philips KET wiring

Philips HID Kit Options:

  • Relay Cable: This is used to protect the vehicles headlight wiring system, it also protects the vehicles headlight fuses as well since the relay cable has its own dedicated light fuse.  This cable is highly recommended if you plan to install more than one HID Kit.  For-instance, low and high beam, or low beam and fog lights etc.
  • Relay Cable + 50W Resistors: This does the same as what is mentioned above.  The difference is that the 50W resistors trick the vehicles computer into thinking the HID Kit is 50W instead of 35W.  This is important for many German brands.  Stock Halogen bulbs are usually 50-55W,  when someone tries to install a 35W HID Kit on a car like a BMW, newer models will sometimes give an error that the bulb is out, other common issues if this cable is not used are, only one bulb lighting up or the bulbs flicker then go out.  This occurs because the vehicles ECU thinks there is a problem since the HID lights are not 50 or 55W.  Common brands that will need this cable: BMW, Audi, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, Volkswagen, Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep.
  • H7 Clips/Spacers:  If your car or truck takes an H7 HID Bulb, please leave a note with your order and specify the year/make/model of your vehicle as it may require a clip or spacer for the H7 HID bulb to sit properly.  We will provide these for free if they are needed, but you need to leave a note with your order.  If you do not leave a note and your vehicle needs one of these H7 adapters, you may be charged $9.99 + Shipping to get them.

  1. Only kit for the BMW 528

Posted by Will on 3rd May 2012

This kit went on my new 2010 BMW 528 and everything is perfect. At first when I ordered the kit I did not add the relay cable or 50W resisters. When I went to install it at first the kit would not light up at all so I emailed their customer service and Ryan was able to let me know what the problem was. He knew exactly what was wrong and I actually needed the relay with the 50W resisters for the Philips HID kit to work.

They gave me the upgrade price and shipped the cable for free, which saved me $19. Excellent customer service, they really know how to take care of their customers.

  2. For 2011 Hyundai Sonata 2.0T Limited

Posted by Arthur on 3rd May 2012

I waited for 3-weeks before I can post this review to make sure I had no foul play.

All OEM lighting for this car is from Philips and so I got this Genuine Philip HID conversion. I was able to find a perfect place as to where I can mount the ballast for the passenger side and driver side as well. I was very worried that the mounting of this ballast will be awkward, that's why it took me awhile too to figure out to find the perfect spot.

From the owner's manual - Hyundai mentioned a written warning about installing a HID converting that it will affect radio functionality. That's the first thing I tested, with engine on - no problem; with engine off - no problem as well. The leveling of the light projected was the same as the original H7 light. I checked for shadow issue and it seems I found no noticeable appearance. "Maybe in the future but will see." From Philips installation manual only H7 HID conversion kit that relay cable connection is not needed.

I have to thank Philips HID Kits Store to make all this possible. I thank you Philips HID Kits Store.

PS: If any of your 2011 Hyundai Sonata customer needs help or question, I'm gladly to be at your service.

Posted by Fahad on 3rd May 2012

I bought this product & I was very satisfied.

Also I'm going to buy one.

The relay i was ordered for this product wasn't OK, I was try to install but every time i was installed the relay cable it burn the fuse.

Then I installed it directly with my car fuse.

  5. Simply Amazing

    Posted by R.K. on 3rd May 2012

I ordered this kit for a Hyundai Genesis and can't say enough good stuff about the kit. Its works great. It was completely plug and play and everything worked excellent. The light output is much greater than those cheap HID kits. The color between the bulbs was perfect and the beam pattern was incredible. They start up quickly and are simply incredible. Buy this kit, you won't be disappointed. I am very picky about the stuff I but and have to say I am completely satisfied.

  8. Philips is the only way to go

Posted by Andrew on 3rd May 2012

I bought this kit for my brand new Nissan Titan and I am 100% satisfied with this HID kit. I did alot of research on HID kits and didn't feel comfortable putting one of those cheap kits on my truck as I kept hearing negative reviews on them. I can tell you right now that I made the right choice going with the Philips kit, Its perfect and really lights up the road.

Customer service was awesome and Ryan was great, he was able to answer every question I had and he really knows his stuff. I would definitely recommend you buy from from these guys.

  9. Lights on Steroids

Posted by Chris Utley on 3rd May 2012

Wow, thats all I can say about the Philips kit. I previously had a cheaper kit on my Tahoe that died after 8 months. When I tried to contact the company that sold it, they wanted me to pay for return shipping and shipping for the new kit to be shipped to me. It would have almost cost me the same to buy a new one with that crappy warranty. That company lost my business right there. After that I decide to bite the bullet and look for a higher quality kit that would be trouble free, and thats when I found this one. I always knew Philips made great products and this lives up to their reputation. The kit lights up much faster and is even brighter than my last one. This kit is definitely worth the price

  10. Excellent 9006 HID kit

Posted by Jeff in Virginia Beach on 3rd May 2012

I just recieved my Phillips 9006 HID conversion kit today for my 2008 Dodge RAM driving lights. The shipping was pretty fast especially considering it was delivered to Virginia from Hong Kong.

The kit looks good and is very complete. It also came with a relay and 50W resistor harness that is not needed on the Dodge RAM for driving lights. Still, a nice complete kit for many applications.

Im not sure why the description says these ballasts are slow to warm-up, I did not experience that. It was a nice quick start-up. What I did see was an incredible increase in illumination in this application. I really just was not prepared for how bright these are in the factory Dodge driving light. There is no way I will be using these in daily driving, but thats perfect for me, as I wanted a substitute for an aftermarket off-road light.

I used the 4200K bulbs. These make the factory halogens look yellow.
